Need Suggestions!!!

What do you suggest for a teenage BOY who really does NOT like to read??

He enjoyed Haddix's Shadow Children series, but he's finishing up the last one and will need a new book to read.

I've suggested her newer series (The Missing) and I've heard he might like City of Ember, but I need more ideas!

Must be CLEAN and a slightly easier reading level isn't a bad thing.  Gotta get him to read something, somehow, right?

HELP!

  1. Has he tried the Alex Rider series? The books are fast paced and a pretty easy read. My nephews love them and they are fun for adults too. The Percy Jackson and Fablehaven series are really popular too. My husband and I have read all three series and they are clean and fun and not too difficult.

  2. I was going to suggest the Fablehaven and Percy Jackson series as well. He could also try James Patterson's "Angel Experiment" as well. I didn't love it, but I know a lot of boys did. Oh, and The Missing ROCKS!

  3. What about the Abhorsen Chronicles by Nix? Female lead, but I think a boy would still love them. Split by Swati Avasthi was great, as was A Little Piece of Ground, and I Am Number Four. Other standard suggestions would include Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, maybe also What They Always Tell Us, I'll Get There. It Better Be Worth The Trip.

  5. I was thinking Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan and Leviathan and Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld (though quite different from the ones you mentioned he liked...)

  6. Also the Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix. And I second the Abhorsen suggestion. The Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo. Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow series and the Hardy Boys.
