So.... if I were judging this purely on text..... 3 stars probably.  It's a cute enough story, very simple and sweet.  It includes some interesting facts about the horses at the end.  It also includes some typos and such.  Ugh.

It's fine.

Why did I give it 4 stars then?

The pictures.  Oh my gosh the pictures.

In fact, pictures is not a good enough word-- paintings.  The paintings are gorgeous.

Which makes it a tragedy that it seems to be easier to get on Kindle than paperback.

Overall, the story is fine, but check this one out for the art.
