4 Stars
R-3.5
A very interesting concept. The storyline is a little hard to follow, but that seems intentional, since the characters are at least as confused as the reader. :)
Told in the present, with multiple flashbacks to various "former lives", it's really interesting to see how it all comes together.
The ending TOTALLY leaves you hanging. BIG TIME. Which is why I'm starting the second book immediately, lol.
SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT
Seriously, the ending leaves you not even sure if the main character is alive!?!? Holy season finale, Batman.
PLUS, Rachel and that whole storyline is completely left... I don't even know where. At her friend's house where Josh dropped her off? Very strange place to leave it. What's up with her uncle? Still don't know.
END SPOILER ALERT
Anyway, fascinating thriller, but the ending and sex left it at a 4 instead of 5 stars.
I'm off to read the 2nd to figure out what the heck is going on.....
