Something Missing by Matthew Dicks

(Happy Friday the 13th!  Where's a black cat and a ladder when I need one? lol)

5 stars
R- 1.5 (really there's not much other than a random half page about the cleanliness of penises... very strange)

Quite possibly the quirkiest book I've read.  One of them, at any rate.

Martin has a thriving business, with lots of clients.... who don't even know he exists.  You see, Martin acquires things from their home while they're out.  Only things they won't notice, mind.

Even though it's written in third person, you're very much in Martin's head.  Quickly you realize what he does... and that he's likely diagnosable for both OCD and Asperger's.

Everything in his life is well-ordered, methodical... he follows his rules religiously.  Until the day he accidentally knocks a client's toothbrush into the toilet.

A funny read for sure-- Martin is sweet and endearing.... even if he's a bit creepy when you stop to think about it.  Well, not him, but what he does.  I don't think you could ever actually consider Martin creepy.

Highly recommended-- a quick read great for summer.

  3. Hi Britt,
So happy to hear that you enjoyed the book! And I'm very glad to hear that you don't consider Martin creepy. Nor do I.

My second book, UNEXPECTEDLY, MILO, hit bookstores last week. I hope you enjoy it just as much!
