This is the first Dominic Grey novel and I must say I'd be interested in seeing more. :) (Especially since the character I was hoping for more from seems like he will feature prominently in later books.)

Grey is a diplomatic security guy, working for the American Embassy in Zimbabwe. Haunted by personal demons (isn't everyone?), Grey has a strict sense of right and wrong that sometimes gets him into trouble with his superiors since it trumps following orders. And suddenly the disappearance of an American in a strange religious ceremony has him walking that line again. Zimbabwean officials aren't being helpful, except for Nya, who seems to have ulterior motives. Can these two damaged people trust each other?

Their investigation leads them into the creepy world of a terrifying cult, led by the N'anga.  Creepy creepy creepy man.  *Shudder*

Overall, I liked it. Kinda creepy, but a great mystery.

AND the sequel, The Egyptian, is being released as an ebook TODAY!!!!!!!!!!
Layton Green says he'll be offering The Egyptian and The Summoner (ebooks) each for $.99 for the release weekend only (August 27th and 28th).  How cool is that?!

So, go check out Layton Green's website.
