Bookish Gift Idea Round Up-- Board Book Edition

Are you a procrastinator?  Well, if your shopping isn't done yet, here are ideas for the littles on your list.  (If your shopping is done then hey, it's never too early to start shopping for next year.)

Little Blue Truck's Christmas.  Okay, so maybe this technically isn't a board book, but close enough.  LuLu actually got this for her birthday last week and it became an instant favorite.  She LOVES it.  Actually so does 4-month-old Pixie.  And technically, my aunt got it for LuLu because my cousin's 7-month-old twins love Little Blue Truck.  So really, there's a good range there.  It's really cute, combining rhyming, counting, and animal sounds in the text PLUS it has a page where the lights light up.  What more could you possibly want?

Duck and Goose It's Time For Christmas.  LuLu calls the Duck and Goose books "Goo Gus" and LOVES them all (bordering on obsession).  She's especially enjoying this one, partly because they put a star on the top of their tree, which she helped Daddy do and which she simply loves to say.  (At least I presume she loves saying it, since I hear it ALL THE TIME.)  She has heard the text enough times now that she will actually sit and "read" it herself.

Llama Llama Jingle Bells.  Technically we don't have this one.. and haven't read it... YET.  I happen to know LuLu is getting it for Christmas.  Unlike Duck and Goose, which is only bordering on obsession, this little girl is SERIOUSLY OBSESSED with the Llama Llama board books.  (She actually got Llama Llama Trick or Treat last week for her birthday... which fit perfectly since she had asked me that morning if we were going trick or treating.)  So while I can't actually review the text on this one, I'm recommending it anyway because the other board books are just too cute.  (From the looks of the reviews on Amazon.... some of these people have clearly not read any of the other board books.  No, they aren't full storylines like the picture books.  Get over it.  The ages they're geared towards WON'T SIT through a full storyline. lol)

(This is a LuLu approved post, lol)
