The Castle in the Attic by Elizabeth Winthrop

I'm not sure how I missed this as a kid, but I did.  I had never heard of it.  But a few weeks ago my husband suggested it as something Boo may like, so I read it.

I'm not sure if Boo will like it.  Only because there aren't really any girls in it.

I loved it.  It's a cute coming-of-age story with a boy who shrinks down to enter his toy castle.

And really, who hasn't dreamed of shrinking down to play in your toys??  Wouldn't that be cool?!

There's also the touch of chivalry and it's very Camelot and King Arthur.

Anyway, great story.

HIGHLY recommended, especially for boys in elementary school.
