The Boy Who Climbed into the Moon by David Almond

One of the quotes on the cover says that David Almond is "Roald Dahl's rightful heir" and I gotta say: I totally agree.

This book is bizarre in the best Roald Dahl-ish way.

I'm honestly not even sure how to describe it, other than to say that it starts with a little boy who sometimes thinks the moon is really just a hole in the sky and it gets stranger from there.

A quick read that is totally worth it.

Boo's Review:
10 stars

It's Roald Dahl-ish and it's quick and easy without too many hard words.  It's got a host of queer characters.

[Mommy note: first of all, the first few words there say a ton, because Boo LOVES and ADORES all things Roald Dahl.  Secondly, no, I did not coach her on that second sentence AT ALL.  That is totally how she talks.  Gotta love this kid!]
