So having seen various of the comics online I was really looking forward to this.

Turns out I wish it had more prose and fewer comics... it ended up being the prose that really resonated with me.

Great read for anyone with body image issues, eat disorders, depression, etc etc etc

As long as language doesn't bother you.

I enjoy seeing Sarah's Scribbles from time to time online, so I grabbed this one off a display at the library.

It just wasn't quite as cute as I wanted it to be.

And I guess it's just me, but a few of them made zero sense.  I'm clearly missing something.

It's a slim volume, so it only took about 20 minutes to go through, but next time I may just pass on the collection and stick with seeing them at random online.

It's possible that the best ones are the ones you keep seeing online anyway, because they're the ones getting attention.

If you've enjoyed her work maybe grab this one.  Just maybe don't have super high expectations.

I don't know, maybe it was just me.

This book is all in comic strips.  There are a few storylines.  There are activities at the end.

It's awesome and really funny.

Highly recommended.

{Mommy note: I think he's already read this one like 3 times.  Seriously.  The kid LOVES comics and graphic novels.  This is basically a collection of strips from the Sunday Funnies.}

We got a whole pile of Man of Steel books for review and they are lots of fun.  I haven't had the chance to read them all yet, but I love the variety.

Man of Steel: Reusable Sticker Book

My kids LOVE sticker books.  Mister got one for his birthday last year and it kept his attention part of every day for quite a while. I was impressed.  So a Superman one?  Awesome!

Man of Steel: The Early Years

This one is a junior novel.  Nobody's had a chance to read it yet, sorry! but Boo and Mister have liked the other junior novels we've tried.  And hey, it's Superman!  Mister is at that age... all things super heroes are automatically amazing. :)

This is what my friend refers to as a "spinner book"-- you know, the square ones that book stores keep on spinner racks?  In this one, villains have come to Earth and Superman must save his town.

An "I Can Read" level 2 book.  We're reading a lot of this kind of thing lately.  Well, Mister is.  Really they're a little too easy, but that's not always a bad thing.  It's, obviously, all about Superman.

And of course this collection was no exception.

Oh my bizarre.  LOL

So I saw this come up on Shelf Awareness.... and I never accept egalleys, but this was just too funny.

What sold me?  The section on how to use a semi-colon.  Hilarious, and still educational. :)

They also have sections on common misspellings and how to use apostrophes, as well as other... "helpful" guides.

Utterly off-the-wall, I am very very amused.

This wacky comic book will be out March 1st.
